Cary Homeschoolers
Cary Homeschoolers is an all-inclusive, secular homeschool support group based in Cary, NC. Membership is open to all homeschooling families in and around the Cary area. Their primary purpose is to help their children develop and maintain social connections with other young people in the Cary area. They offer park days, game days, play dates, field trips and classes. They also hold regular gatherings for parents to share ideas about homeschooling and to act as a sounding board and source of support for homeschooling parents.
Charlotte Mason Mothers - North Carolina
CM-MothersNC is a local homeschool support group in the Triangle area of North Carolina for mothers who are utilizing Charlotte Mason's teachings in home education. This is a Christian homeschool group, but welcomes anyone who aspires to provide a Charlotte Mason style home education for their children.
Gifted Home Scholars in NC
A group for parents who are educating their gifted children at home in NC, or have an interest in home education in our state. This group will give parents an opportunity to network, share experiences, and bounce ideas around. This group is open to all types of homeschoolers.
Homeschool Alliance of North Carolina (HA- NC)
Established in 2003, the Homeschool Alliance of North Carolina (HA- NC) is a grass roots, statewide advocacy group supporting independent homeschooling families in North Carolina.
Homeschoolers of Color
North Carolina
Homeschoolers of Color is a group based in the piedmont of North Carolina, dedicated to supporting homeschoolers of color and their families. Member come from Chatham County, Lee County, Durham County, and Orange County, and include homeschoolers of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American heritages.
McDowell County Homeschoolers S.T.A.N.D.
This is a Christian-based group for homeschoolers in McDowell, Rutherford, and surrounding counties. They offer support, information, classes, field trips, and more.
North Carolina African-American Homeschoolers
The mission of North Carolina African-American Homeschoolers is to provide a central point of community and resources for homeschoolers of color in North Carolina. Offers opportunities for homeschoolers to socialize with other children who are like them in order to create a community atmosphere and lasting friendships. NCAA Homeschoolers online is a community building resource for parents and guardians of home schooled children to share experiences, teaching styles and curricula.
North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE)
In 1984, NCHE was organized to support and encourage home educators and to protect the right to freely home educate in North Carolina. From a small group of concerned parents, NCHE has grown into an increasingly stronger statewide service organization. NCHE is a representative organization governed by a board of seven officers elected by all NCHE members and 12 regional directors, elected by the NCHE members in each region. NCHE is operated on the basis of Biblical principles and living faith, welcoming members of all races, nationalities, and religions who subscribe to the NCHE ideals.
North Point Homeschool Ministry
North Point Homeschool Ministry is an outreach of North Point Baptist Church. This group supports parents who are homeschooling or are considering it. They offer meetings, events, and activities for parents and children.
Unifour Home Learning
This support group welcomes homeschoolers in the Unifour area of North Carolina.
