North Carolina Non-Public School Student Driving Eligibility Certificate Requirements
North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education
Every age 15-17 student enrolled in a home school must obtain a Driving Eligibility Certificate from his /her home school chief administrator within 30 days before the student attempts to obtain his/her North Carolina Learner's Permit or Driver's License.

Driver Ed in a Box®
Driver Ed in a Box® is a parent taught driver education course offering both classroom and in-vehicle phases. This course offers interactive CDs, audio CDs, and a DVD. They also include a Parent Companion with instructions and information to assist you during the training of your new driver.
National Driver Training
National Driver Training is a nationally certified program that offers parent taught driver education materials. Their approach is Graduated Driver Licensing, beginning with classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training, and moving into additional hours behind-the-wheel. They measure achievement and graduation on performance skill and experience, not on a training clock.
